I want to talk about something most of us carry around but rarely bring up – our limiting beliefs.
These are those sneaky stories we tell ourselves, sometimes without even realizing it. They whisper that we’re “not enough,” “too old,” “unqualified,” or even that we’re “unworthy” of reaching our dreams. These beliefs quietly linger, often unnoticed, yet they have the power to shape our every choice, leading us away from the life we really want.
Ever set a goal and felt that inner resistance creep in? That small voice that says, “Who am I to think I can do this?” That’s a limiting belief at work, keeping us in the comfort zone, no matter how uncomfortable it may feel.
Here’s the thing: these beliefs didn’t come from nowhere. Many of them were handed to us a long time ago, and over time, we’ve reinforced them without meaning to. Yet they don’t define us. They’re not true reflections of who we are or what we’re capable of.
The incredible news? The moment we start to see these beliefs for what they are – old stories, outdated thinking – we’re on the path to breaking free. Imagine facing your goals without that constant doubt, feeling the confidence to move forward and embracing all you’re truly capable of.
Take a few moments to check in with yourself: Are there any stories or limits you’ve carried that no longer serve you? Have you ever held yourself back simply because you thought you couldn’t, or shouldn’t, go after what you wanted? Question these beliefs because they’re not set in stone, and they certainly don’t define you.
It’s not easy, I know. This work takes courage and honesty, and it can be tougher than any workout. But the changes that come from letting go of these limiting beliefs? Those are the ones that transform not just our bodies, but our lives.
Take it from me, you’re worth this journey.
